Our services include:
+ Functional capacity assessments
If a person has reduced independence and functioning, a Functional Capacity Assessment may be recommended to clearly determine the person’s level of function. An FCA will provide recommendations for supports and services to reduce the impact to the individual and/or their carers, and to determine the level of funding needed.
+ Assistive technology scripting
With a vast array of specialised equipment to choose from, it’s particularly important to ensure the participant is being matched precisely to their needs. A “one size fits all” approach can often lead to poor outcomes and dissatisfaction. Our OTs have extensive experience in scripting AT from adaptive cutlery to complex wheelchairs.
+ Complex home modifications
When complex and large-scale home modifications are being considered, a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist is essential to ensure the participant’s goals and likely future needs will be met. We have highly experienced, post-graduate qualified OTs that can service both the planning and application process of complex home modifications.
+ OT Driving Assessments
If you have a medical condition that may affect your ability to drive safely, your doctor may ask that you have a driving assessment to determine your medical fitness to drive. A driving assessment can only be conducted by an Occupational Therapist with the appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
+ Vehicle modifications
We can assist with prescription and funding applications for vehicle modifications such as spinner knobs and hand controls, left foot accelerator pedal, wheelchair lifts and hoists, lowered floor conversions and ramps, wheelchair tie-downs and docking stations - passenger and driver, and high level driving controls.
